How to join the Optix9 servers?
To join the Optix9 servers, open the in-game console and type connect 155.117.117.76 followed by the port of the mode you want, for example connect 155.117.117.76:27225 for CS:GO Mix. You can also use the Connect button at https://optix9.xyz/servers, which launches the game directly. No website registration is needed to play.
Enable the console and use the connect command
First enable the game console: go to Options → Keyboard and turn it on, or add -console to the launch options in Steam. Once in the game, open the console and type connect 155.117.117.76:<port> with the port of the server you want to join. If you'd rather not type anything, go to https://optix9.xyz/servers (or each server's page at /servers/<name>) and click the Connect button: it opens your installed game and connects you automatically. That button only launches the game pointing at the IP; it doesn't install anything or ask for permissions.
Ports for each game and mode
Every server uses the same IP: 155.117.117.76; only the port changes. CS:GO: 5v5 Mix with captains and MMR ranking on 27225, 27235, 27245 and 27255 (128 tick), FFA DM on 27215, 2v2 Wingman on 27315, 27325, 27335 and 27345, and the Public server on 27305. CS:S: Mix on 27025, 27035 and 27045, DM on 27015 and Zombie Escape on 27095 (64 slots and around 266 ze_/zm_ maps). CS:S v34 (non-Steam): Mix on 27125, 27135 and 27145, and DM on 27115. gRust (Garry's Mod): x10 PVP survival on 27415.
Automatic downloads on join (FastDL)
When you connect for the first time, custom content (maps and sounds) downloads automatically via FastDL from fastdl.optix9.xyz; just wait for the download to finish. On CS:S and v34, make sure you have cl_downloadfilter all in the console (it's the default value) so the client downloads all the content.
What if I can't connect?
The most common cause is the wrong game version. The CS:GO servers run classic CS:GO, not CS2: on Steam, install the separate free app called Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (https://store.steampowered.com/app/4465480/CounterStrikeGlobal_Offensive/); you cannot join with CS2. The v34 servers require the v34 client (non-Steam): the current CS:S from Steam joins the regular CSS servers (27015-27095), not the v34 ones.
